Privacy Policy for Listranet

Effective Date: October 12, 2026

Welcome to Listranet ("Listranet", "we", "our", or "us").

Listranet is a Canadian online marketplace that connects customers with independent hairstylists, barbers, beauty professionals, salons, and hair product vendors. We provide a platform that enables users to discover, communicate with, book services from, and purchase products from independent businesses. Unless otherwise stated, Listranet is not the provider of the services or products offered by marketplace vendors.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and safeguard your information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services.

By using Listranet, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with our platform, we may collect the following categories of information.

  • Profile photo (optional)

Private Professional Address and Account Checks

During professional listing setup, we collect your full legal name and private service or verification address, including street, unit where applicable, city, province, postal code and country. A separate home address and exact service-location coordinates are optional. Provide only the address information that applies to your service arrangement. This feature does not track your live GPS location.

We use these records to review account consistency, possible duplicate registrations, listing ownership and free or paid listing allowances. Matching addresses can represent legitimate shared salons or households and are reviewed by an administrator rather than automatically rejected. We also compare account email, verified phone and reviewed social-profile identifiers where available.

Private address records are encrypted and restricted to the account holder and authorised administrators. They are not included in public listings, maps, promotional posters or public page data. Hosting providers may process the encrypted records as part of operating the platform. You may request access, correction or deletion using the contact details below.

6. Professional Account Verification

Spark verification involves manual review of your full name, two social profiles from different platforms, a matching private photo and a link to your shared Listranet promotional poster. For a business, we also review your authority to represent it. Verification does not certify qualifications, licensing or service quality.

Your verification photo and review notes remain private. Do not upload government-issued identity documents through the Spark form.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to:

  • Operate our marketplace
  • Meet contractual obligations

When information is no longer required, it is securely deleted, anonymized, or destroyed.

  • PIPEDA Principle 5 (Limiting Retention)

Private Address Retention Schedule

  • Current private addresses and exact coordinates are retained while reasonably needed for the active professional account. They are normally removed within 90 days after account deletion, unless a documented legal hold applies.
  • Replacing an address overwrites the previous current record; this feature does not maintain a separate address-history archive.
  • For unfinished professional setup with no submitted listing, private address records expire after 90 days without an address update. We aim to send a reminder approximately seven days beforehand. The account and draft listing remain.
  • Limited keyed matching records for email, verified phone and reviewed social profiles may be retained for up to 12 months after account deletion to review repeated registration and free-listing abuse. Exact addresses are excluded from that retained matching record. These matching records are still personal information.
  • Only information relevant to a documented dispute or legal hold is retained beyond the normal period, for as long as its justified purpose requires.

These periods apply to current application records. Backup copies follow the hosting provider’s separate rotation schedule and must remain restricted. Expired records must be purged before a restored backup is reopened for use. Payment, booking and other records have separate retention requirements.

8. Security Safeguards

We maintain appropriate technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards, including:

  • SSL/TLS encryption
  • Access controls
  • Multi-factor authentication where appropriate
  • Secure cloud infrastructure
  • Encryption of sensitive data
  • Regular security monitoring
  • Employee confidentiality obligations
  • Incident response procedures

Although no system is completely secure, we continually work to protect your information.

Protected Under:
