Terms of Service

Welcome to Listranet. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Listranet.com, its related pages, features and services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, creating an account, posting a listing or requesting a service, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Listranet
Listranet is an online marketplace that helps customers discover and connect with independent beauty professionals, salons and other local service providers, beginning in Calgary, Alberta. Unless we expressly state otherwise, Listranet does not provide the listed services and is not the employer, partner, agent or representative of any provider or customer.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to create an account, publish a listing or make a booking. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information, keep your login details secure, and promptly update information that changes. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account and must notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Provider Listings and Responsibilities
Providers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including their identity, qualifications, licences, services, prices, availability, location, photographs and policies. Providers must comply with all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws, health and safety requirements, professional standards, tax obligations and insurance requirements.
Listranet may review, edit, refuse, suspend or remove a listing that is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, unsafe, inactive or inconsistent with these Terms. Any verification badge, identity check or document review indicates only that specified information was reviewed at a particular time; it is not a guarantee of quality, safety, licensing, conduct or future performance.
4. Bookings and Service Arrangements
When a customer contacts or books a provider through Listranet, the service agreement is between the customer and the provider. The parties are responsible for confirming the scope of work, price, appointment time, location, travel fees, cancellation terms and any other conditions before the service begins.
Availability shown on the Platform may change. Providers may accept, decline or reschedule requests, and customers are responsible for arriving on time and providing accurate booking information.
5. Payments, Cancellations and Refunds
Where payment features are available, additional payment-processor terms may apply. Prices, deposits, taxes, cancellation fees and refund policies must be disclosed before a transaction is completed. Unless Listranet expressly processes or holds a payment, payment disputes, cancellations and refunds are handled directly between the customer and provider.
Listranet is not responsible for cash payments or transactions completed outside the Platform. Users should keep written records of agreed prices, deposits and cancellation arrangements.
6. User Conduct
You may not use the Platform to:
- post false, deceptive, discriminatory, defamatory or unlawful content;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent qualifications, licensing or affiliation;
- harass, threaten, exploit or endanger another user;
- offer or request illegal, unsafe or prohibited services;
- upload malware, scrape data, interfere with security or attempt unauthorized access;
- send spam or use personal information for an unauthorized purpose;
- manipulate ratings, create fake reviews or offer incentives for misleading reviews; or
- use the Platform in a way that violates applicable law or another person’s rights.
7. Reviews and Community Content
Reviews must reflect genuine experiences and remain respectful, relevant and factually supportable. You grant Listranet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and moderate content you submit for operating and promoting the Platform. You retain ownership of your original content.
We may remove content that violates these Terms, privacy rights, intellectual-property rights or our moderation standards. We do not guarantee that every review or statement is accurate.
8. Safety and Independent Assessment
Customers should independently assess whether a provider is suitable for their needs. Providers are responsible for maintaining sanitary tools, safe working practices and appropriate professional boundaries. For mobile or in-home services, both parties should take reasonable personal-safety precautions and communicate location details carefully. If there is an immediate threat or emergency, contact local emergency services.
9. Intellectual Property
The Listranet name, logo, Platform design, software and original site content are owned by or licensed to Listranet and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the Platform only for lawful personal or business-listing purposes. You may not copy, modify, sell, reverse engineer or commercially exploit Platform content without written permission.
10. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that information will be handled in accordance with that policy and applicable Canadian privacy requirements.
11. Third-Party Services and Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, maps, payment services, social networks or tools. Listranet does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, privacy practices or terms. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider’s terms.
12. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, Listranet does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, listing accuracy, provider availability, service quality, results, safety or compatibility between users. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Listranet and its owners, employees and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss arising from use of the Platform or services arranged through it. Listranet is not responsible for a provider’s acts or omissions, service quality, injury, property damage, missed appointments, payment disputes or user-generated content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the amount you paid directly to Listranet for the relevant Platform service during the previous six months.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Listranet harmless from claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful conduct, your listing or content, your provision or receipt of services, or your violation of these Terms or another person’s rights.
15. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time. Listranet may restrict, suspend or terminate access, remove content or take protective action where we reasonably believe there is fraud, abuse, risk to users, unlawful activity or a breach of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
16. Changes to the Platform or Terms
We may update the Platform and these Terms as Listranet grows. Material changes will be posted with a revised effective date and, where appropriate, additional notice. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights, disputes will be brought before the courts located in Alberta.
